Our range of storage units means we have something for your specific needs. We can easily help you choose a unit , just let us know what you have and we can work it out for you!
    See our unit sizes here.

  • Do I pay a bond?

We require a $40 bond to hold a unit for you. This is refundable at the end of your storage contract (as long as the unit is clean and all bills settled), however if you decide to not go ahead with hiring the unit, the bond is non refundable.

We don’t allow any goods or substances which are noxious, hazardous, dangerous, illegal, stolen, inflammable, perishable, environmentally harmful, explosive or if they are a risk to the property or any person in our units.

Please ensure your stuff is free from food items and everything is dry, clean, and free from unwanted guests ie insects or vermin etc.

How and where to
even start?

We know storage, so we have all the tips and tricks you need to make the very most of your storage journey.

  • Once confirmed, make sure you visit your storage site to get an idea of how big the unit is and where you can park the car/truck and trailer.

  • Start packing early so if you run out of packing boxes or tape you will have plenty of time to get more :)

  • Make sure you use good quality packing tape to completely seal boxes. This will ensure they are strong and keep dust out.

  • Use the same sized boxes as it makes stacking easier.

Place heavy cartons closer to the floor and fragile items on top of them.

Use all the space inside boxes to make them stronger. Fill any gaps with
paper, clothing, linen etc so they don’t burst or collapse.

  • Clearly label boxes and make a system eg. Number boxes from room to room and keep a list of each boxes contents.

  • Draw a floor plan of your unit so you know where things are in case you need anything.  Make sure this is accessible - we suggest blue tack on the inside of your unit door.

Make sure boxes you need access to are placed at the front of the unit.

  • Use the inside of wardrobes, cupboards, desks, fridges to store items. Store couches (but not sofa beds) on their ends.

  • Make sure all water is drained from washing machine hoses and freezers and fridges are completely defrosted, drained and dried before going into storage.
Fridges must be clean and dry. Make sure you leave the door slightly open to avoid mould build up.

Pack computers and electronics in firm (cardboard) packaging and store up right.

Do remove batteries from items as they may leak overtime

  • Store large and/or heavy items towards the back of the unit. They provide a great base to stack lighter more fragile items on.

Store beds, mattresses and table tops along the walls.

  • Wrap flat fragile items ie mirrors and pictures with bubble wrap and never store them flat! Place them in an upright position and protect them by securing between softer items ie mattresses or bed bases.

  • Pack books flat so their spines don’t break.

  • Items that are considered dangerous and/or illegal are not allowed in your storage unit. This includes combustible, flammable, hazardous or toxic materials ie petrol, compressed gases, toxic or biological waste, acid, corrosives, fertilisers, paint, cleaners, asbestos, fireworks, weapons, ammunition etc.

Perishable food items are not allowed as they may rot or attract rodents or other pests.
